Estine’s Barbershop
“Black Business Living Museum”
Estine Eastside Barbershop was, until 2022, the only remaining business in Central El Paso. The barbershop under the Eastside-Central El Paso 501(3) non-profit group, and Shiloh Baptist Church, will establish Estine’s Barbershop as “Living Museum.” It will be a site where educators, entrepreneurs, civil activists, and historians can come and understand the importance of the African Americans tragedies but also their successes. The barbershop is housed at 106 North Piedras, El Paso, Texas. The “Organization” will be responsible for the development and management of the Living Museum . The Organization will work hand in hand with the El Paso Museum of History, El Paso Historical Society, El Paso City and County Councils. The possibility, capability, or likelihood of successfully establishing, capturing, and sustaining the barbershop as a depository for capturing the history of Black Businesses and impact on city of El Paso is very high.

The music scene was alive and well in El Paso thanks to businesse’s like Nobles Records.
Now open in tribute to Black Business’s in El Paso.

Dream it.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
