The mission of ECC is to revitalize a community impacted by the construction of US I-10 during the late 1950s and 1960s.
This initiative seeks to honor the legacy of Black residents in El Paso while fostering economic and cultural benefits ALL who live in the Eastside-Central Community (ECC) today and tommorow. ECC aims to enhance and encourage community participation, positioning El Paso as a hub of diversity and inclusivity.

The intersection at Piedras and Alameda Avenue has been a center for long-time Black businesses in El Paso. Estine’s Eastside Barbershop now showcases a tribute to the history of the area as a Living Museum.
